Welcome to a fun collaboration with Jennifer of A Well Styled Life and Pam of over50feeling40. We desire for all of us� the fabulous women over 50 �to look and feel our best each and every day. After years of blogging for this audience, we have heard from so many of you about your discouragement and despondency when you look in the mirror every morning. But, we both know just how transformative style can be, and hope to encourage you right here each week. We want to see all of us empowered with strength, joy, and confidence.
It may be the unofficial start to summer this weekend, but it sure seems official here. You can smell the fresh cut grass, see tourists tubing down the river, walk the grocery surrounded by carts full of outdoor eating supplies, and enjoy the aromas of chlorine and suntan lotion. But, of course, I left out...the humidity and heat.
We have not experienced humidity like this in a few years, since we were mostly dry and in a serious drought...but rain and moisture has arrived with that old feel of thick air and a belief it is hotter than the temp gauge is registering.
I have told you before, I like to look nice when running errands...even in over 90 heat! I rarely wear shorts any longer...I am just not confident in them. But, if I do put them on, it is home only. These METRO CROPPED DENIM LEGGINGS FROM SOFT SURROUNDINGS are perfect for summer...look nice, flattering, and are not heavy at all.
Both tops are CHICO'S purchases from a couple of years ago. Very lightweight...yet looks nice. I believe sales people...grocery checkers...all give better service when I take the time to look my best even under the heated circumstances. Also, if I run into a familiar face...which I often do...I am not ready to crawl behind the counter and hide. Lightweight kimonos and tops are all around and there is really no excuse for heat to hold you back from a fresh look when out and about.
